Cornell University's Department of Communication, in conjunction with
Cornell Summer College, is pleased to offer a course in Argumentation and
Debate open to extramural students and high school students who enroll in
Cornell's Summer College.

Students will learn the principles of argumentation and the rules of
debate.  Clasroom debates on the college national debate topic will
provide experience in critical thinking, rapid organization of thoughts,
employment of research, and writing and speaking in a logical, persuasive
manner.
