The Voice of Edwin is the weekly newsletter of the Edwin Lawrence Debate Union at the University of Vermont, an endowed co-curricular program which trains students in debating and sponsors national competition and community events. STRONG TURNOUT BEGINS 2000-01 SEASON

NOVICE TRAINING BEGINS WED AT 7 PM

Over 30 students have already signed up to be part of the LDU this year. This week begins novice training and massive argument blocking. Last weeks argument strategy meetings and practice debates did very well.

Resolved: that the United States Federal Government should substantially increase its development assistance, including increasing government to government assistance, within the Greater Horn of Africa.
