The Voice of Edwin is the weekly newsletter of the Edwin Lawrence Debate Union at the University of Vermont, an endowed co-curricular program which trains students in debating and sponsors national competition and community events. YEAR 101 OF VERMONT DEBATE BEGINS

Students gathered on Monday evening at ther traditional 6 PM time to kick off the LDU's 2000-2001 season. Here is some basic information about the upcoming year of debate, competition, education, and public service.

Resolved: that the United States Federal Government should substantially increase its development assistance, including increasing government to government assistance, within the Greater Horn of Africa.
