The Bay Area Urban Debate League presents...
The 2010 Pro Debate TournamentThe BAUDL will be hosting an open-eligibility round robin during the NDT and CEDA Nationals. Anyone who wants, regardless of their debate eligibility, age, experience, etc. may enter. The tournament will be held on March 24th, on the off day between the NDT and CEDA Nationals. All rounds will take place at the tournament hotel, the Oakland Marriott City Center. Ten teams will be divided into two wheels of five debate teams. Each team will debate all the others in the wheel and also have one bye. The top team from each wheel will advance to the finals, which will be held adjacent to a cash bar and karaoke room. Register your team ¬ĽAll proceeds from the tournament will go to supporting BAUDL programs serving youth in the Bay Area. While we do not require an entry fee for participation, we kindly ask that each team refer friends and supporters to their team profile on this website to donate to the BAUDL. We are hoping that each team raises at least $200. The top fundraisers will receive a very special reward of gratitude from the BAUDL.

We will be using the current college debate topic for the debates:
Resolved: The United States Federal Government should substantially reduce the size of its nuclear weapons arsenal, and/or substantially reduce and restrict the role and/or missions of its nuclear weapons arsenal.
