We arrange waivers of room and tuition expenses, plus modest cash grants, to policy and Lincoln-Douglas coaches who would like to spend part of their summer at a debate institute. Barton Scholars may be required to offer some assistance to the directors of summer institutes in such areas as dormitory management or judging. We welcome applications from coaches in all regions and at all levels of experience. The deadline is MAY 1. We've had many more applicants than in previous years, so I'd expect that the deadline will be strictly enforced. A Barton Scholarship application can be found in the April issue of ROSTRUM.
