The University of the Pacific, Department of Communication invites applications for Graduate Assistantships for the 2000-2001 academic year. UOP is located in Stockton, CA about 80 miles east of San Francisco and 50 miles south of Sacramento. We offer a two-year M.A. degree in Communication. Obviously, one need not be a graduate assistant to attend, but graduate assistants do gain teaching and coaching experience. The assistantships cover most of tuition for the program and also provide a stipend toward living expenses. We especially need applicants with forensics experience for next year, since we are losing two coaches to graduation. If you have any questions, would just like to discuss UOP with me or another faculty member, or would like to receive an application in the mail, please write or call. I will be happy to help. Applications should be submitted by April 1, 2000.
